Car
If you are driving within Palo Duro Canyon State Park, start at the Visitor Center located at 11450 State Hwy Park Rd 5, Canyon, TX 79015. From the Visitor Center, head southeast on State Hwy Park Rd 5 for about 1.5 miles. Look for the parking area for the Lighthouse Trail, which will be on your left. Park your car in the designated parking area. The trailhead for the Lighthouse Rock is located at the back of the parking area.

Hiking
Once you have parked, follow the Lighthouse Trail, which is well-marked and approximately 5.8 miles round trip. The trail begins at the parking area and leads you through beautiful canyon scenery. It is advisable to wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring plenty of water. The hike will take you about 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pace. Follow the signs along the trail, and stay on the marked path to ensure you reach The Lighthouse Rock, which will be visible from certain points along the trail.

Currently, there are no direct public transportation options to Palo Duro Canyon State Park. The nearest town with public transport is Canyon, TX. If you are using public transport, take a bus to Canyon and then arrange for a rideshare service or taxi to take you to the park entrance. Once inside the park, follow the same directions as mentioned for car travel to reach The Lighthouse Rock.
