Amazing dinner cruise on the Chao Phraya River!

I've not gone on a dinner cruise before, but for a 1st time experience Super Galaxy was definitely an amazing one, if kinda expensive (though thats pretty in line with its luxury theme). There was a very good selection of food and drinks on board, though I will note that cocktails and alcohol are a separate if decently priced charge (starting at THB 300+). Food though is all inclusive and it was amazing, with offerings spanning local Thai cuisine to regional (e.g. Chinese) and even international offerings (e.g. western)! There was also a very fun guide on board who highlighted all of the major landmarks as we cruised up and down the river, slowly making our way back to our boarding point at ICONSIAM. I especially loved the bridge parts, especially 1 which was really so low that if you're tall and standing up u are definitely getting bonked on the head LOL It was also surprisingly windy and cooling up on the open air deck, which was a very welcome thing since Bangkok gets HOT and I was worried I'd get deep fried even after the sun went down. Thankfully I was wrong and it was very cooling (though of course the interior areas were much colder). Performances were also pretty good and I really liked the music! For those looking for some more fun photos, u can ask to have some taken with the performers, though be prepared to tip them for it! Having said all of the above, there are some pain points with the cruise I should highlight. The 1st is that we need to check in about an hour early and then wait at the hot pier, where there are no fans of any kind to be found and tons of bodies since dinner cruises seem really popular and all start at the same time. As such, we're left waiting and sweating it out under the sun for quite a bit, though honestly I'm not sure if there's anything the cruise can do about it. The 2nd is that if u take the later 8pm timing, the cruise docks back at ICONSIAM around 10:30pm, so u might be left scrambling for a taxi if u don't stay somewhere really close by as most of the river cruises are done for the day by then. This can be painful as the ICONSIAM mall itself closes, which makes hailing a cab even more painful. Overall though, this was fantastic and I'd definitely be willing to have a go at it again, just at an earlier time XD

Nice dinner while watching the city lights

Watching Bangkok light up from the river made dinner more enjoyable. The atmosphere felt relaxed and it was easy to spend the evening chatting. Food selection was decent, though a few dishes ran out for a while.
