Boat
If you are in the central area of Bangkok, head to the nearest Chao Phraya River Pier. Popular piers include Sathorn Pier or Central Pier. From there, take a boat heading towards Tha Tien Pier (N8) or Wat Arun Pier. The ride usually takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Wat Arun Pier, you will see signs directing you towards Wat Arun. The Thonburi Pagoda is part of the temple complex, and you can easily walk to it.

Public Transport (BTS and Ferry)
First, take the BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksin Station (Silom Line). From the station, follow the signs to Saphan Taksin Pier. Take a Chao Phraya Express Boat from this pier heading towards the direction of Nakhon Chai Si (orange flag) or other boats that stop at Tha Tien Pier (N8). The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. After disembarking at Tha Tien Pier, follow the signs to Wat Arun, which is a short walk away.

For a more direct route, you can hire a private taxi boat from any of the public piers along the Chao Phraya River. Just inform the boat operator that you would like to go to Wat Arun. The taxi boat will take you directly to the temple's pier, offering a scenic ride along the river. The journey typically takes around 10 minutes.

If you are staying in the Thonburi area or nearby, you can walk to Wat Arun. The temple is located at 158 Thanon Wang Doem, Bangkok Yai. From any local landmark, head towards the river and follow signs to Wat Arun. The temple is easily recognizable by its tall spires, and the walk should take about 15-20 minutes depending on your starting point.
