Car
If you are driving from Chiang Mai city center, head southeast on Thung Hotel Road towards Superhighway Road. Continue on Superhighway Road (Route 11) for about 5 kilometers. Take the exit towards Route 118 (Chiang Mai - Lamphun Road) and merge onto Route 118. After approximately 7 kilometers, take the exit towards Saraphi District. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer, then turn right onto Somphot Chiang Mai 700 Pi Road. Wiang Kum Kam will be on your left at 149 หมู่ที่ 2. Parking is available at the site.

Public Transportation - Songthaew
From the Old City of Chiang Mai, you can take a red songthaew (shared taxi) towards Saraphi District. Board at a designated songthaew stop and inform the driver you want to go to Wiang Kum Kam. The fare is typically around 30-50 THB per person. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off near the entrance of the site.

Public Transportation - Tuk Tuk
You can also hire a tuk-tuk from anywhere in Chiang Mai to Wiang Kum Kam. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it usually ranges from 150 to 300 THB depending on your starting point. Expect the ride to take around 20-30 minutes. The tuk-tuk will drop you off directly at the entrance of Wiang Kum Kam.

Bicycle Rental
For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle in Chiang Mai. Head southeast from the Old City, following the same route as by car. The distance is approximately 12 kilometers one way, and it will take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your cycling speed. There are bike rental shops available in the city, and prices range from 50 to 150 THB per day. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated.
