Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Kanchanaburi town center, start by heading south on the main road, Thanon Saengchuto. Walk approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Thanon Kanchanaburi-Umphang. Turn left onto Thanon Kanchanaburi-Umphang and walk for another 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for the Kanchanaburi Ancient Ruins on your left. Continue walking until you reach the entrance at 4C82+WQ3, Lat Ya.

• Bicycle

  For a more enjoyable journey, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in Kanchanaburi. Start at the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery and head south on Thanon Saengchuto. After about 2 kilometers, turn left onto Thanon Kanchanaburi-Umphang. The ride will take you through scenic views and local neighborhoods. After cycling for approximately 1.5 kilometers, look for the signs for Kanchanaburi Ancient Ruins on your left. The entrance is located at 4C82+WQ3, Lat Ya.

• Public Transportation

  From Kanchanaburi Bus Station, take a local songthaew (shared taxi) heading to Lat Ya. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will pass by the Kanchanaburi Ancient Ruins. The fare should be around 20-30 THB. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive, you can ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to the ruins, which is located at 4C82+WQ3, Lat Ya.
