If you are in the central area of Chaweng, head north along Chaweng Beach Road. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route 4169. Turn left onto Route 4169 and walk straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Big Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Yai) as you approach. The temple is situated on a small island connected by a causeway. Cross the causeway and you will arrive at Big Buddha Temple.

Songthaew (Shared Taxi)
From popular areas like Chaweng or Lamai, you can catch a songthaew heading to Big Buddha. They usually display their routes in the front window. Simply tell the driver 'Big Buddha' when you get on. The fare is usually around 50-100 THB. The songthaew will drop you off at the entrance of the temple.
