Getting There

• Car Rental

  If you have rented a car, drive to the nearest pier on Koh Yao Noi, which is Bang Por Pier. From most locations on the island, you can follow the main road south until you reach the pier. The drive usually takes about 20 minutes from the northern parts of the island. Once at Bang Por Pier, you can rent a long-tail boat to Hong Island. The boat ride takes approximately 30-45 minutes and may cost around 1,500-2,500 THB depending on negotiation and number of passengers.

• Public Taxi

  You can take a public taxi (songthaew) from your accommodation to Bang Por Pier. This is often a shared service and costs around 50-100 THB per person. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Bang Por Pier, hire a long-tail boat to take you to Hong Island for a fee, typically between 1,500 and 2,500 THB for the boat ride.

• Bicycle Rental

  For the more adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from your accommodation and ride to Bang Por Pier. The distance will depend on where you are staying, but it can take around 30-60 minutes. Once you reach the pier, you will need to hire a long-tail boat to take you to Hong Island, which can cost between 1,500 and 2,500 THB and takes approximately 30-45 minutes.

• Group Tour

  Consider booking a group tour that includes transportation from your hotel to Hong Island. These tours typically provide a long-tail boat ride and may include lunch and snorkeling equipment. Prices vary, but expect to pay around 1,000-3,000 THB per person depending on the inclusions.
