Songthaew
To get to Wat Sai Thai, start by locating the nearest songthaew (shared pickup truck) station in Krabi Town. You can find these stations near the weekend market or at the Krabi Bus Terminal. Once there, board a songthaew heading towards Ao Nang or Sai Thai. Inform the driver you want to get off at Wat Sai Thai. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes. When you reach the temple, you will see the entrance clearly marked.
Longtail Boat
If you're near the beaches of Ao Nang, you can take a longtail boat. Head to the Ao Nang Beach pier and negotiate a ride to Sai Thai. While longtail boats primarily service beach areas, some may be willing to drop you at a nearby spot from where you can walk to Wat Sai Thai. Make sure to confirm the drop-off point with the boat operator. Once landed, follow the road signs to the temple, which is about a 10-minute walk.
Bicycle Rental
For a more active option, consider renting a bicycle. There are many rental shops in Krabi Town or Ao Nang. From Krabi Town, head south on Thanon Chao Fah, then take a left onto Thanon Sai Thai. Follow the road for about 3 kilometers until you reach Wat Sai Thai. If you’re starting from Ao Nang, cycle towards the main road, then follow the same route. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, and you will enjoy the scenic views along the way.
Walking
If you are already in the Sai Thai area, you can simply walk to Wat Sai Thai. Look for local signs that point towards the temple, which is situated in a scenic area. Depending on your starting point, walking may take around 20-30 minutes. Just follow the main road, and you will soon see the temple's distinctive architecture.
