Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from areas like Patong or Kata Beach, head south on Route 4233. Follow the signs directing you towards Karon. Once you reach the Karon Temple, turn left onto the road leading to The Big Buddha. The road will wind up the hill, and as you get closer, you'll see signs pointing you to the attraction. There is a parking lot available at the site. Note that there may be a small fee for parking.

• Public Transportation (Songthaew)

  From your location, look for a songthaew (shared taxi) that is heading towards Karon. The fare is usually between 30-50 Baht, depending on your starting point. Inform the driver that you want to go to The Big Buddha, and they will drop you off at the nearest stop. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 kilometer uphill to reach the statue, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a short hike.

• Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service

  You can use a taxi or a ride-hailing app like Grab to get to The Big Buddha. Simply enter 'The Big Buddha, Phuket' in the app or ask the taxi driver to take you there. The ride from popular tourist areas like Patong or Kata Beach will cost around 300-500 Baht, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.

• Motorbike Rental

  For the more adventurous travelers, renting a motorbike is a great option. Rental shops can be found throughout Phuket. Prices typically range from 150-300 Baht per day. Once you have a bike, follow the same route as mentioned for cars, and enjoy the scenic ride up to The Big Buddha. Remember to wear a helmet and drive safely, as the roads can be steep and winding.
