Make sure to keep an eye out for signs indicating Khlong Yai or the ferry terminal, as it is the last stop on this route.

For a faster option, you can hire a motorbike taxi. You can find these near the main markets or bus station. Tell the driver you want to go to Aow Thammachat Ferry in Khlong Yai. Look for the local bus that goes to Laem Ngop. Buses typically leave from the main bus station in Trat. Ask the driver or the staff for confirmation that it goes to Aow Thammachat. If you prefer to walk and enjoy the scenery, start at the Trat town center. Head southeast towards Soi 1 and follow it until you reach the main road. Continue on the main road towards Laem Ngop. After approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach a junction; take a right turn towards the ferry terminal. Keep walking straight for another 2 kilometers until you see signs for Aow Thammachat Ferry. This walk will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so ensure you have comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
