Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from downtown Nassau, head east on Bay Street (the main road) towards the eastern part of the island. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with East Street. Turn left on East Street and follow it until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Village Road and continue straight. After approximately 3 kilometers, turn right onto Bonefish Pond National Park Pathway. Follow this road until you reach the observatory, located at XHVR+332. Parking is available on-site.

    To reach Bonefish Pond National Park Observatory via public transportation, find a bus or jitney heading towards the eastern parts of Nassau. You can catch a bus from downtown Nassau at the bus terminal on George Street. Look for a bus with a sign indicating it goes to 'East Street' or 'Village Road'. Once on the bus, ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Village Road area. After disembarking, walk along Village Road towards the intersection with Bonefish Pond National Park Pathway, which is about a 15-minute walk. The observatory is located at XHVR+332. Be sure to have some cash (around $1.25) for the bus fare.
