Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in Downtown Nassau, you can easily reach the Heritage Museum of The Bahamas by walking. Start from the main square, Rawson Square, which is a central point in Downtown. From Rawson Square, head west along George Street for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with W Hill Street. Turn left onto W Hill Street. The museum will be on your left side after a short walk, approximately 3 minutes away. Look for the building with the sign indicating the Heritage Museum.

• Public Bus

  If you prefer to take public transportation, you can catch a jitney bus from Downtown Nassau. Head to the nearest jitney stop, which is located near the Straw Market on Bay Street. Look for jitneys heading towards the West Hill Street area. The fare is typically around $1.25 USD, payable in cash. Once you board, inform the driver that you are going to W Hill Street. After a short ride of about 5-10 minutes, you will get off near the intersection of W Hill Street. From there, walk a few minutes down W Hill Street, and you will find the museum on your left.

• Taxi

  For a more comfortable option, you can take a taxi to the Heritage Museum of The Bahamas. You can find taxis at designated stands throughout Downtown Nassau, such as near the cruise ship terminal or the Straw Market. A taxi ride to the museum should cost around $5-10 USD, depending on your starting point. Inform the driver that you want to go to W Hill Street, and they will take you directly to the entrance of the museum.
