Walking
From the center of Banjul, head towards the Albert Market. Once you reach the market, continue straight onto the road that leads to the ferry terminal. Follow the road along the waterfront until you hit the main Coastal Road. Once on Coastal Road, turn left and keep walking for about 2 kilometers. You will see the entrance to the Tanji Bird Reserve on your left.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Banjul. Start your journey from the Independence Stadium, cycling west towards the riverfront. Continue along the waterfront until you reach the ferry terminal area. From there, make your way towards Coastal Road. Once you are on Coastal Road, head left and cycle for approximately 2 kilometers until you see the Tanji Bird Reserve entrance on your left.

Public Transport (Bush Taxi)
Locate a bush taxi stand in Banjul, preferably near the Albert Market or the ferry terminal. Take a bush taxi heading towards Tanji. The ride should take about 30 minutes. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance of Tanji Bird Reserve, which is located along Coastal Road. If they are unsure, mention that it's a national park known for its birdwatching.
