Walking
From the center of Brikama, start at the main market. Head southwest along the main road (Brikama - Banjul Highway) until you reach the junction with the Coastal Road. Turn left onto Coastal Road. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs for Tanji Bird Reserve. The entrance will be on your right. Keep an eye out for local landmarks, like the large tree at the junction, to ensure you're on the right path.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Brikama. Start at the main market and ride towards the Brikama - Banjul Highway. Turn left onto the highway and cycle straight until you reach the intersection with Coastal Road. Turn left onto Coastal Road and continue for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the signs that indicate the Tanji Bird Reserve entrance on your right. This route is relatively flat, making it a pleasant ride.

Public Transport (Banjul bound shared taxi)
From Brikama, walk to the nearest shared taxi station (usually near the main market). Look for a taxi that is headed towards Banjul. Once you're on the taxi, inform the driver that you want to get off at the Coastal Road. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes. When you arrive at the Coastal Road, get off and walk about 500 meters down the road. The entrance to Tanji Bird Reserve will be on your left, marked by clear signage.
