    If you're traveling by car from Kiang East National Park, first head northwest towards Brikama Highway (the B1 road). Follow the signs for Lamin. The drive will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you reach Lamin, look for signs directing you to Abuko Nature Reserve, which is located just off the Brikama Highway. The entrance is well-marked and has a small parking area.

  • Public Transportation

    To reach Abuko Nature Reserve via public transport, you will need to take a 'Gele-Gele' (shared taxi or minibus) from any major town near Kiang East National Park to Lamin. You can catch these at local markets or bus stations. The fare is usually around 25-50 Dalasi (D). Once you arrive in Lamin, you can either walk (approximately 15-20 minutes) or negotiate with a local taxi to take you to the entrance of Abuko Nature Reserve for around 100-150 Dalasi (D).

    If you prefer to walk from Lamin, after arriving by public transport, head northwest on Brikama Highway. Walk along the road until you see the entrance to Abuko Nature Reserve on your right. This should take about 15-20 minutes on foot.
