Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Mount Ramelau. Head west on the main road towards Atsabe. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the junction leading to Atsabe. Turn onto the road that goes towards Atsabe, and continue for another 15 minutes. Look for signs pointing to Manu-babi Waterfall or ask locals for directions. Upon arriving in Atsabe, navigate to the coordinates 2CR3+J4, where you will find the entrance to the waterfall trail. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough roads, as the final stretch may be unpaved.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Manu-babi Waterfall using public transportation, start by taking a bus from the main bus terminal in Mount Ramelau to Atsabe. Buses run frequently, and the journey will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Atsabe, you will need to hire a local motorcycle taxi (ojek) to take you to the waterfall entrance at coordinates 2CR3+J4. The motorcycle taxi fare should be around $5-10 depending on your negotiation skills and the distance. Make sure to confirm the fare before starting the ride.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk from Atsabe to Manu-babi Waterfall, you can do so after arriving in Atsabe. The waterfall is approximately a 30-minute walk from the town center. From the main road, look for a trail leading into the forest towards the coordinates 2CR3+J4. The path can be uneven, so wear sturdy shoes and carry water. Walking is a great way to experience the local scenery, but ensure you have a map or a local guide if you're unfamiliar with the area.
