Car
From Bassar, head east on the main road towards Pya. Follow the signs for Pya and continue driving for approximately 30 km. As you approach Pya, look for signs indicating Mont Kalankpa. Once you reach the coordinates M682+8H9, you will find the entrance to Mont Kalankpa on your left. Parking may be available nearby, so ensure to check for any signs regarding parking regulations.
Public Transportation (Taxi-Brousse)
To reach Mont Kalankpa via taxi-brousse, start at the main taxi-brousse station in Bassar. Look for a taxi-brousse heading towards Pya. The fare is typically around 500-1000 CFA. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Pya, ask the driver or locals for directions to Mont Kalankpa, as it is a popular destination. You may need to walk a short distance or hire a motorcycle taxi (zemidjan) for about 300-500 CFA to reach the exact location.
Motorcycle Taxi
If you're already in Pya and prefer a quicker option, you can hire a motorcycle taxi (zemidjan) to take you directly to Mont Kalankpa. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 300-500 CFA. The motorcycle taxi will take you directly to the entrance of Mont Kalankpa, and it's advisable to wear a helmet for safety.
