Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Konya, head towards Alaeddin Hill, which is a well-known landmark. Once at Alaeddin Hill, you can see the Alaeddin Mosque. From there, walk south along the main road (Alaeddin Boulevard) until you reach Mevlana Museum. Continue past the museum, and take a left onto Ferhuniye Street. Follow Ferhuniye Street for approximately 1 km, and you will find Karatay Madrasa on your right.

  • Public Transport (Bus)

    Head to the nearest bus stop in central Konya. Take bus number 51 or 55, which are frequently available. The bus will take you towards the Selçuklu area. Get off at the 'Karatay' stop, which is close to the madrasa. From the bus stop, it's a short 5-minute walk to Karatay Madrasa. Just follow the signs towards the museum area, and you will see the madrasa ahead.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental spots in the city. Start from the central area and head towards the Mevlana Museum. After visiting the museum, take the road south towards Ferhuniye Street. Cycle along this street for about 1 km until you see Karatay Madrasa on your right. There are bike lanes available for a safer ride.
