Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From Pamukkale, walk to the main bus station, which is located near the entrance of the Pamukkale thermal pools. Look for buses heading to Buldan or Denizli. The fare is generally affordable, around 10-15 TL. After boarding the bus, inform the driver of your destination: 'Tripolis' or 'Yenicekent'. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Yenicekent, ask locals for directions to the ancient city of Tripolis, which is about 2 km away on foot.

  • Dolmuş (Shared Minibus)

    Head to the nearest dolmuş stop in Pamukkale, often located near the main thermal pools area. Look for a dolmuş heading towards Buldan or Denizli. The fare is usually around 10 TL. The dolmuş will drop you off in Yenicekent. From there, you can either walk 2 km to Tripolis or ask the driver if they will take you closer to the ancient site.

    If you prefer walking, start from the center of Pamukkale. Head towards the main road and follow the signs to Buldan. The total distance is approximately 10 km. It is advisable to start early in the morning to avoid the heat, and bring plenty of water. After reaching Yenicekent, ask locals for directions to the ancient city of Tripolis, which is approximately a 2 km walk from the village.
