Walking
If you are in the city center of Mbale, start by heading east on Republic Street. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Namatala Road. Turn left onto Namatala Road and walk for another 500 meters. You'll see a small roundabout ahead. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Masaba Road and continue straight for about 300 meters. Sunrise will be on your left; look for the signage indicating the location.
Bicycle
From the central market in Mbale, rent a bicycle and head east on Republic Street. Cycle straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Namatala Road. Turn left onto Namatala Road and continue cycling for about 500 meters. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto Masaba Road and cycle straight for about 300 meters. Sunrise will be on your left side. Make sure to check for traffic as you approach the location.
Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)
From any location in Mbale, find a boda boda (motorcycle taxi) and tell the rider you want to go to Sunrise. Most riders will know this destination. The most common route is to take Republic Street heading east, then turn onto Namatala Road, followed by Masaba Road. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and the fare usually ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 UGX.
