If you are starting from Freedom Square (Ploshcha Svobody), head southeast towards Sumska Street. Continue straight along Sumska Street for about 1 km. You will pass several shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the large Taras Shevchenko Monument, which will be on your left at Sumska St, 37.
