Al Wathba Hill: A Majestic Peak in Abu Dhabi

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Abu Dhabi city center, start by heading southeast on Sheikh Zayed the First Street (previously known as Sultan Bin Zayed the First Street). Continue straight for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Abu Dhabi-Al Ain Road (E22). Take the exit onto E22 towards Al Ain. Continue on E22 for about 30 kilometers. Take the exit towards Al Wathba South. After exiting, follow the signs for Al Wathba Hill. The hill is located at the coordinates 24.1643° N, 54.6966° E. You will find a parking area near the base of the hill.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Al Wathba Hill using public transportation, you can take a bus from Abu Dhabi city center. Look for Bus 150, which goes to Al Wathba. The bus departs from the central bus station. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departures, as they may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the Al Wathba bus stop, you will have to walk approximately 2 kilometers to reach the hill. It's advisable to use a map application on your smartphone to guide you along the walking route.

• Taxi

  Another convenient option is to hire a taxi from anywhere in Abu Dhabi. Simply tell the driver to take you to Al Wathba Hill, located in Al Wathba South. The fare from the city center should be around AED 70-90, depending on traffic conditions. Taxis are readily available and provide a quick and comfortable ride directly to your destination.
