    Start your journey at Cardiff Central Station. Purchase a ticket to Brecon, which is the nearest town to Brynich Lock. Trains may not run frequently, so check the schedule in advance. Upon arrival at Brecon station, exit the station and head toward the town center.

    From Brecon town center, head north along High Street (A40) for about 0.5 miles until you reach the roundabout. Take the first exit onto the A470 road, following the signs towards B4558. Continue walking for approximately 1 mile along the A470 until you reach the B4558 junction.

    Once you reach the B4558, turn left and continue walking for another 1 mile. You will pass by beautiful countryside views. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Brynich Lock. You will know you are close when you see the canal on your right.
