Car
From Down, head northwest on the A7 road towards the M1 motorway. Merge onto the M1 towards Glasgow and continue for about 15 miles. Take the exit for the A725 towards Coatbridge. Follow the A725 until you reach the A89, then turn left onto the A89. Continue straight on the A89 until you reach Heritage Way. The Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life will be on your right. Parking is available on-site, and there may be a small charge for parking.

Public Transportation
From Down, take a train from the local station to Coatbridge Central Station. This typically requires a transfer at either Glasgow Central or Airdrie. Once you arrive at Coatbridge Central, exit the station and take a bus (number 323 or 322) towards Coatbridge town center. Get off at the stop for Heritage Way. The Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life is a short walk from the bus stop. Keep in mind that train tickets will vary in price, and it's advisable to check the latest schedules.
