Getting There

• Car

Alternatively, you can walk to the castle, which takes about 20 minutes. Follow the signs towards the Castle Park, and you will arrive at Castle Park, where Colchester Castle is located.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, several local bus services operate routes to Colchester from nearby towns. Once you arrive in the town center, look for signs directing you to Castle Park. The castle is a short walk from the bus station. You can also take a bus that directly stops at Castle Park, which will drop you off right at the entrance.

• Walking

  For those already in Colchester, walking to Colchester Castle is a delightful option. The castle is located in Castle Park, which is easily accessible. If you are near the High Street, head towards the park entrance at the north end of the park. Follow the paths through the park to reach the castle. This walk should take around 10-15 minutes and offers a lovely view of the park.
