Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Glasgow Central Station, exit the station onto Hope Street. Turn left and walk towards the junction with Renfield Street. Continue straight onto Gordon Street, which will lead you to the pedestrianized area. Once on Buchanan Street, walk north until you reach the junction with St. Vincent Street. Turn left onto St. Vincent Street, and continue until you reach the junction with George Square. From George Square, walk east towards High Street. Follow High Street until you see the Mercat Cross on your right at High St, Glasgow G1 5AA.

• Public Transport

  From Glasgow Queen Street Station, exit onto George Square and walk east along George Street. Catch a bus (check local bus schedules for routes 43, 63, or 64) towards High Street. Alight at the stop for High Street. From there, walk a short distance down High Street, and you will find the Mercat Cross located at High St, Glasgow G1 5AA.

• Walking

  If you are at the University of Glasgow, exit the campus and head east towards University Avenue. Walk down University Avenue until you reach Byres Road. Turn right and walk down Byres Road until you reach the subway station at Hillhead. Take the subway towards Buchanan Street, and alight at Buchanan Street. From there, walk east to George Square, then continue onto High Street. The Mercat Cross will be on your right at High St, Glasgow G1 5AA.

• Walking

  From the Riverside Museum, walk towards the nearest subway station at Partick. Take the subway towards Buchanan Street, and alight at Buchanan Street Station. From there, walk east through the city center towards George Square. Continue onto High Street, where you will find the Mercat Cross located at High St, Glasgow G1 5AA.
