If you are driving from any location on the Isle of Arran, head towards the ferry terminal in Brodick and take the ferry to Ardrossan on the mainland. The ferry ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once in Ardrossan, follow the A78 road south towards Ayr. After about 13 miles, take the exit toward the A71/Ayr. Continue on the A71 until you reach the A70 and then follow the signs for Ayr.
