If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Ayr. Head southeast on High Street/A79 toward Montgomery Street. Continue to follow A79 for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Greenan Road, and follow it until you reach the car park at the end, which is approximately 0.5 miles. From there, it's a short walk to Greenan Castle, located at the coast.

For those using public transport, take a bus from Ayr Bus Station. The Stagecoach service 5 or 6 will take you toward Greenan. Get off at the stop nearest to Greenan Road. From the bus stop, walk approximately 15 minutes down Greenan Road until you reach the castle. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest timings.

If you are already in Ayr and prefer walking, head south from the town center along the A79 road. After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto Greenan Road. Continue walking along Greenan Road for about 0.5 miles. This route will take you directly to the castle area. Be prepared for some uphill walking as you approach the castle.
