Car
If you are driving on Isle of Jura, head towards the village of Craighouse. Once in Craighouse, take the A846 road south towards the Jura ferry terminal. After reaching the ferry terminal, you should take the ferry to the mainland at Port Askaig. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes, and you will need to book your ticket in advance, which costs approximately £18 for a car and driver. Once you arrive at Port Askaig, follow the A846 road towards Bowmore, then take the B8073 road towards Bridgend. Continue on this road until you reach Lochgilphead. From Lochgilphead, follow signs towards Carsaig Beach, which is located about 25 miles south. The last part of your journey will be on a smaller road that leads directly to the beach.

Public Transport
To reach Carsaig Beach using public transport, start by taking a bus from Craighouse to the ferry terminal. From there, take the ferry to Port Askaig, which operates multiple times a day (make sure to check the schedule in advance). After disembarking, you will need to take another bus towards Bowmore. Once in Bowmore, you will transfer to a bus that goes to Lochgilphead. Lastly, from Lochgilphead, you can catch a local bus heading towards Carsaig Beach. Be aware that the total journey may take several hours and you should confirm bus schedules ahead of time as they may vary.
