Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town, Tobermory, which is approximately 12 miles away from Viewpoint. Head southwest on the A848 towards Derviche, then take the B8073, which is the road leading to Viewpoint. Follow the B8073 for about 10 miles until you reach the viewpoint location at 6LY, B8073. There are signs along the way that will guide you to the viewpoint. Make sure to park safely at the designated parking area.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take the local bus service from Tobermory to Salen. The bus operates several times a day, and you can check the schedule online or at the bus station. Once you arrive in Salen, you will need to take a taxi to reach Viewpoint, as public transport does not cover this area directly. Taxis are usually available at the bus stop, but it’s a good idea to book one in advance. The taxi ride from Salen to Viewpoint should take about 15-20 minutes.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, if you are in close proximity to Viewpoint, you can hike along the scenic trails. However, please note that this option is only viable if you are already near the B8073. Plan your route carefully, as paths may not be well marked. Ensure you have proper walking gear and a map with you, as the terrain can be rugged.
