Getting There

    Starting from Liverpool Lime Street Station, exit the station and head towards the main road, Lime Street. Turn left onto St. George's Place and continue straight until you reach the junction with Ranelagh Street. Turn right onto Ranelagh Street and walk until you reach the end of the street. Here, you will find the bus stop for the 60 or 61 bus towards Smithdown Lane. Board the bus and ride for approximately 20 minutes. Disembark at the Smithdown Lane stop. From the bus stop, walk down Smithdown Lane for about 5 minutes. The Williamson Tunnels Heritage Centre will be on your left at The Old Stableyard, with a sign marking the entrance.

  • Bus

    From the city center, head to Queen Square Bus Station. Look for the bus services 60 and 61, which head towards Smithdown Lane. Board either of these buses and stay on for about 20 minutes. When you reach the Smithdown Lane stop, disembark and walk for approximately 5 minutes down Smithdown Lane. The Williamson Tunnels Heritage Centre will be on your left, located at The Old Stableyard.

  • Train and Walking

    If you are at Liverpool Central Station, exit and walk to the nearby James Street Station. Take the Merseyrail train towards Ormskirk or Kirkby and get off at Edge Hill Station. After exiting the station, turn left and walk towards the main road, which is Smithdown Lane. Continue walking straight for about 15-20 minutes, and you will see the Williamson Tunnels Heritage Centre on your right at The Old Stableyard.
