The estate sits on chalky, free-draining slopes in the Surrey Hills, with rows of vines running across open ground and woodland around the edges. The landscape is broad rather than compact, and the best impression comes from the contrast between cultivated vineyard, downland and the built hospitality areas clustered near the entrance. Views stretch across the hills toward Box Hill and Dorking, giving the place a distinctly countryside feel even though it is close to town.
