The walk should take approximately 5-10 minutes depending on your starting point.

For those who prefer public transportation, you can take a bus to Plaza Independencia. Look for the following bus lines that stop near the plaza: 180, 183, or 301. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop to your location in Ciudad Vieja. The fare is around 40 UYU (Uruguayan Pesos), and you can pay with cash or a prepaid card. Once you arrive at Plaza Independencia, the Palacio Estevez will be directly in front of you at Plaza Independencia 776.
