Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from any location within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, start by heading south on UT-43 S. Continue on UT-43 S for approximately 13 miles until you reach the junction with US-191. Take a left onto US-191 S and continue for about 26 miles. Then, take the exit onto I-70 W toward Provo. After about 30 miles, take exit 49 for US-89 S toward Salina. Continue on US-89 S for approximately 8 miles, then turn right onto UT-50 W. Drive for about 12 miles until you reach the town of Sterling. Upon entering Sterling, turn left onto E Palisade Rd. The entrance to Palisade State Park will be on your right at 2200 E Palisade Rd, Sterling, UT 84665. Please note that there is an entry fee for the park, which is typically around $10 per vehicle.
