Getting There

Walking
From the center of Mt. Carmel, start walking south towards Highway 89. Once you reach the highway, turn left (east) and continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 9. Cross the highway carefully and head towards the entrance of Zion National Park. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the East Entrance. Note that you will need to pay an entrance fee at the entrance station.

Continue on the main road through the park, enjoying the scenery. After about 3 miles, look for the turnoff to Pine Creek Canyon on your right. This will lead you to a trailhead. You may need to ask for directions at the park visitor center if you're unsure about the exact trailhead location.

Once at the Pine Creek Canyon trailhead, begin your hike down the marked trail. The trail is well-defined, but keep an eye out for signs indicating the way to the slot canyon. The hike to the canyon entrance takes about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace. Be prepared for some uneven terrain and possibly narrow passages as you approach the gorge.
