Getting There

  • Public Transit

    If you are starting from downtown Salt Lake City, walk to the TRAX light rail station at either the City Center (Main Street) or the Library station. Take the Red Line (toward the University of Utah) and ride until you reach the University South Campus Station. Once you disembark, head east on 200 South, then turn north onto 1300 East. Continue walking until you reach Wakara Way. Turn left onto Wakara Way, and Red Butte Garden will be on your right at 300 Wakara Way.

  • Bus

    To get to Red Butte Garden by bus, locate the nearest bus stop and take the UTA bus route 6 (University Medical Center) or route 41 (University of Utah). Both buses will stop near the garden. If you take route 6, get off at the stop for Wakara Way and walk a short distance to the garden entrance. If you take route 41, get off at the University of Utah and walk east along 200 South, turning left onto 1300 East and continuing to Wakara Way.

  • Bicycle

    For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations in downtown Salt Lake City. Head east on 200 South until you reach 1300 East, then turn left.
