If you are driving from the main area of Solitude Mountain Resort, start by heading south on Solitude Ski Resort Road. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Big Cottonwood Canyon Road (UT-190). Turn right onto Big Cottonwood Canyon Road. Follow this road for approximately 3.5 miles until you see the trailhead parking area on your left. The Solitude Lake Trailhead is located just past the parking area. Please note that parking may require a day-use fee, so be prepared to pay if necessary.

To reach the Solitude Lake Trailhead via public transportation, start at the Solitude Mountain Resort and look for the nearest bus stop for the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) ski bus service. Cross safely at the intersection, turn right on Big Cottonwood Canyon Road, and walk for another 0.2 miles. The trailhead parking area will be on your left.
