Getting There

  • Walking

    Exit the Gregorian Etruscan Museum and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. From there, walk straight out towards Viale Vaticano. Once you reach Viale Vaticano, turn left and walk down the street until you reach the intersection with Via Leone IV. Turn right onto Via Leone IV and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via delle Fosse di Castello. Cross the street and continue straight, passing by the Castel Sant'Angelo on your left. Continue on the same road, which will turn into Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. After about a 15-minute walk, you will arrive at the Celio area, where you will find various historical sites and attractions.

    From the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, exit and walk towards Viale Vaticano. Look for the bus stop named 'Vaticano - Museo' located on Viale Vaticano. Take Bus Line 49 towards 'Piazza di Porta Maggiore.' After a few stops (approximately 10 minutes), get off at the stop named 'Celio - Via di San Giovanni in Laterano.' You will be in the Celio area, where you can explore further.

From Colosseo station, walk towards Via di San Giovanni in Laterano to reach the Celio area, which will take about 10 minutes on foot.
