    From the entrance of the Sistine Chapel, exit the chapel and head towards the main exit of the Vatican Museums. Once outside, turn left and walk towards the main road (Viale Vaticano). Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes, passing the entrance of the Vatican Gardens on your right. You will eventually reach the intersection with Via di Porta Cavalleggeri. Cross the street and continue straight until you reach Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). Here, you will find the grand St. Peter's Basilica. Continue walking straight from the square, and just a little further, you will find Piazzale Aurelio, which is a lovely viewpoint overlooking the city. The entire walk should take around 25 minutes.

    From the Sistine Chapel, exit towards the Vatican Museums' main exit. Walk to the nearest bus stop located on Viale Vaticano. Take bus number 81 or 492 towards 'Stazione Termini' or 'Basilica San Giovanni.' After about 5 stops, you will want to disembark at the 'Piazza Garibaldi' stop. From there, it's a short walk to Piazzale Aurelio. Just follow the signs that lead you to the viewpoint, which is known for its panoramic views of Rome.
