Getting There

  • Walking

    From St. Peter's Square, head towards the right side of the square, towards the large colonnades. Exit the square through the main entrance, passing the Basilica. Once you are outside the Basilica, turn left onto Via della Conciliazione. Continue walking straight for approximately 800 meters. You will pass several shops and cafes on your left. When you reach the Piazza San Lorenzo in Lucina, continue straight for a few meters, and then turn right onto Via del Corso. Continue until you reach the intersection with Via dei Fori Imperiali. Keep walking straight, and you will eventually see the Campidoglio on your left, a beautiful square with the impressive Palazzo dei Conservatori.

    From St. Peter's Square, walk to the bus stop located at the end of Via della Conciliazione. You can catch Bus 34 or 81 which will take you to Piazza Venezia. Once you arrive at Piazza Venezia, you can see the Campidoglio on the hill to your right. Simply walk towards the hill and take the steps up to reach Piazza del Campidoglio.
