From St. Peter's Square, head towards the large obelisk at the center of the square. Walk straight past the obelisk towards the entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. As you approach the basilica, continue walking straight until you reach the front steps of the basilica. The Ponte is located just beyond the basilica, about a 5-10 minute walk. Keep walking straight past the basilica and look for the bridge on your left.

Another option from St. Peter's Square is to exit the square through the main exit towards Via della Conciliazione. Once you are on Via della Conciliazione, turn left and continue walking straight. You will see the Tiber River ahead. The Ponte is located on the other side of the river, approximately 15 minutes away. Cross the bridge when you reach it to get to the area of the Ponte.
