Walking
From the Vatican Museums, exit through the main entrance. Once outside, turn right onto Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Leone IV. Cross the street carefully and continue straight on Via Leone IV. After a few minutes, you will reach Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square), where you can enjoy the magnificent view of St. Peter's Basilica.
Public Transport (Bus)
After exiting the Vatican Museums, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Viale Vaticano. Look for the bus lines 81 or 982. Board the bus and stay on for about 10 minutes. Get off at the stop called 'Piazza Venezia' and from there, you can either walk or take another bus depending on your next destination.
Walking
If you are interested in exploring further, from the Vatican Museums, exit through the main entrance and head towards the entrance of the Castel Sant'Angelo. It’s about a 15-minute walk. Follow Viale Vaticano towards Via di Porta Angelica, then turn left onto Via di Monte del Gallo. Continue straight until you see the Castel Sant'Angelo, which is a beautiful historic fortress.
