Walking
From the Vatican Museums, head towards the main exit. Once outside, turn right onto Viale Vaticano and continue walking straight. You will pass the entrance to the Vatican City walls. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection with Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano. Continue straight until you reach Via della Conciliazione. Cross the street and head towards Castel Sant'Angelo, which will be on your right. Continue walking along the riverbank on Lungotevere, and after about 15 minutes, you will see the bridge 'Ponte Sant'Angelo'. Cross the bridge, and you will find yourself in the beautiful area of Piazza S. Bartolomeo All'Isola.

From the Vatican Museums, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Piazza del Risorgimento. Catch bus number 49 towards 'Piazza Cavour'. Stay on the bus for about 5 stops and get off at 'Piazza Cavour'. From there, you can either walk towards Via dei Coronari and then Via di Ponte Sant'Angelo, which is a nice 10-minute walk, or you can catch tram number 8 from the nearby stop and get off at 'Piazza S. Bartolomeo All'Isola'. This tram journey will take approximately 7 minutes.
