Public Transportation
If you are starting from the Vatican City area, take the Metro Line A from Ottaviano station towards Anagnina. Get off at the Termini station (about 6 stops). From Termini, transfer to Metro Line B towards Laurentina and get off at Piramide station. From Piramide, you can take the Roma-Lido train towards Cristoforo Colombo and get off at Ostia Antica station. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to the Ostia archaeological site, where you can explore the ancient ruins.

Starting from Vatican City, take Via della Conciliazione towards Castel Sant'Angelo, and then merge onto the Rampa di Monte del Gallo. Continue on Via di Valle Aurelia and merge onto the A91 motorway. Follow signs for Ostia. Once you reach Ostia, follow local signs for the archaeological site. There are parking facilities available nearby.
