Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving to Mt Ascutney State Park from anywhere in Green Mountains National Forest, take the nearest main road leading to Windsor, Vermont. From the center of Windsor, head west on Bridge Street. Continue onto State Route 44. After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto Back Mountain Road. Follow Back Mountain Road for approximately 2 miles, and you will find Mt Ascutney State Park at 1826 Back Mountain Rd, Windsor, VT 05089. There is a parking fee of $4 for cars, which you will need to pay upon entering the park.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check for bus services that connect to Windsor, VT. The nearest bus station may be in nearby towns such as White River Junction. From there, you can take a local taxi or rideshare service to reach Mt Ascutney State Park. Make sure to check the local bus schedules in advance, as they may not run frequently.
