Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey on I-89 North from any point in the Lake Champlain area. Follow I-89 North for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 14W toward US-2 W and merge onto US-2 W. Continue on US-2 W for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Ethan Allen Highway (VT-15). Turn left onto Ethan Allen Highway and proceed for about 2 miles. Look for Winooski Valley Park District signage on your left, where you will find the entrance to Winooski Gorge Park. There is no entrance fee, but parking may be limited, so arrive early during peak hours.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take the Green Mountain Transit (GMT) bus service from Burlington. Board the Route 2 bus at any designated GMT bus stop along the route. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic. After you arrive at the nearest stop to Winooski Gorge Park, which is located on Ethan Allen Highway, you will need to walk approximately 0.5 miles (about a 10-minute walk) to reach the park entrance. Be sure to check the GMT schedule for the latest bus times and routes, as they may vary.
