  If you're traveling by car, start by getting onto US Route 4 or VT Route 30 from your current location in Rutland County. Follow US Route 4 if you're in the center of Rutland. Drive west toward Castleton, and after approximately 12 miles, take the exit onto VT Route 30 North. Continue on VT Route 30 for about 2 miles, then turn left onto St John Road. Taconic Ramble State Park will be on your left at 321 St John Rd, Castleton, VT 05735.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can take the Green Mountain Express bus service from Rutland to Castleton. Board the bus at the Rutland Transportation Center. The bus will take you to Castleton, where you can disembark at the Castleton University stop. From there, you will need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, or arrange for a taxi to cover the remaining distance of approximately 3 miles to Taconic Ramble State Park.
