Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, head to Springfield, Vermont. From the center of Springfield, take Vermont Route 106 North for about 3 miles. Then, turn left onto Connecticut River Road. Continue on this road for approximately 1.5 miles, and Wilgus State Park will be on your right, at 3985 Connecticut River Rd.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, take a Greyhound or Vermont Transit bus to the nearest station in Springfield, VT. Once in Springfield, you may need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as public transportation options are limited. The taxi ride to Wilgus State Park will take about 10 minutes. Ensure you have the address (3985 Connecticut River Rd, Springfield, VT 05156) ready to provide to the driver.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can start from central Springfield. Take Vermont Route 106 North and then turn left onto Connecticut River Road. The ride is approximately 5.5 miles and will take you through scenic views along the way. Be cautious of traffic, especially on Route 106.

• Walking

  Walking to Wilgus State Park from central Springfield is feasible but requires a long trek. It is about 5 miles and would take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Head north on Vermont Route 106, then left onto Connecticut River Road. Ensure you wear comfortable shoes and stay aware of traffic.
