Car
From any location in Washington County, head towards Waterbury Center. If you are near Montpelier, take I-89 South towards Waterbury. Take exit 10 and turn right onto VT-100. Follow VT-100 for about 3 miles. Then, turn left onto Reservoir Rd. Continue on Reservoir Rd for about 1 mile, and you will find Waterbury Center State Park on your left at 177 Reservoir Rd, Waterbury Center, VT 05677. Note that there is an entrance fee of around $5.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Green Mountain Transit bus from Montpelier to Waterbury. The bus usually stops near the Waterbury village center. From the village center, you can either walk or use a rideshare service to reach Waterbury Center State Park. It is approximately 3 miles from the bus stop to the park, so if you choose to walk, it will take around an hour. Ensure to check the bus schedule for current times and routes.

For those interested in cycling, you can bike from Montpelier via the scenic roads. Take the bike path along the river on Main St, then follow the signs to VT-100. Once on VT-100, follow the route as described for car travel until you reach Reservoir Rd. This is a beautiful ride, but be prepared for some traffic along VT-100. The total distance is approximately 10 miles, so plan accordingly.
