From the center of Ha Long, take a local bus heading to Hai Phong. You can catch buses from the Ha Long Bus Station. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they are heading towards Cát Hải. The journey will take approximately 1-1.5 hours. Get off at the Cát Hải bus station.

Once you arrive at the Cát Hải bus station, you can hire a motorbike taxi (xe ôm) to take you to Butterfly Valley (Thung lũng Bướm). Show the driver the address: QXCX+35, Trân Châu, Cát Hải, Hải Phòng, Vietnam. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes.
